South Florida Beep Baseball
Hello! My name is Ansel Davis I would like to introduce you to South Florida Beep Baseball, a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which has been granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. South Florida Beep Baseball was founded to encourage healthy athletic competition among the visually impaired, and to promote a positive psycho-social experience as well as public awareness of the abilities of visually impaired people. One of our critical goals is to form a successful Beep Baseball team in South Florida, as we have seen that beep baseball provides the opportunity to visually impaired people to strive for achievement and all of the benefits, such as higher self-esteem, that go along with it.
Over the past 20 years, beep baseball has evolved into a wide open competitive game, involving many enthusiastic players and new and improved training and coaching methods every year. Throughout the USA, there are now many good players and teams. Players can enjoy the thrill of swinging heftily at a pitched ball, making solid contact and then charging down the base path to score a run. And they absolutely love the exhilarating feeling of diving off to one side or the other to cleanly field a hit ball and make an out.
